It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these and nothing remarkable (apart from the wonder of life) has happened since our Bay of Islands getaway – although I have just returned from a cheeky business trip to my old friend Sydney – so its fitting that I used up the film in my La Sardina camera just in time for a July post. Oh the joys of analogue.
These shots date back to our arrival and are a mish mash of all the wonderful things I’ve seen on my tropical adventures around the North Island. Fades, light leaks, shadows, multiple exposures, textures, colours, blurs, imperfections, and all that other good stuff that they keep turning into Instagram filters. There’s something so satisfying about taking a photo and waiting until the whole roll of film has been developed before seeing the results.
